Global Climate Change has become a hot issue in the last few years. As with most problems there are several things to look at including: Carbon emissions and the debates raging about the effect of CO2. Is it possible that the changes being experienced are a result of naturally occurring phenomenon? Also are there any solutions to solving this latest crisis? Finally how should reasonable people act in regards to the facts presented on all sides of the argument?
Global Climate Change The Facts:
The average surface temperature of the earth rose (1.34 - .32) in the last century.
According to the IPCC Report of 2007 the level of Carbon Dioxide has reached its highest level in 650,000 years. CO2 is noted in the report as being the most anthroporogenic green house gas. Methane and Nitrous Oxide are also on the rise. The reason for the increased levels of these gasses has been linked to the increased burning of fossil fuels since 1750. Mountain glaciers and snow cover has declined on the average in both hemispheres. Widespread decreases in glaciers and ice caps have contributed to sea level rise. According to the University of California, Berkeley, the earth is reaching its limit for processing carbon dioxide.
It is estimated that the largest contributers to the problem are China, India, and the U.S. because these countries are the largest consumers of fossil fuels

The Solution(s):
The most popular solution being thrown around is to lower Carbon Dioxide emissions. The theory behind the solution is that lowerng green house gas emissions such as CO2 would consequently lower the rate of warming.

Another contributer to greenhouse gasses are vehicles powered by fossil fuels. One solution would be to stop driving altogether or using fossil fueled vehicles. This seems unlikely and in-practical. The more practical solution is for higher production of Hybrids like the Prius or completely electric cars like the Tesla Roadster
It is likely that in order to change the general state of the warming process all of these forms may need to be implemented.
